Physical capacity test
Matching an employee's physical ability is not just good for productivity, it also substantially decreases the risk of injury and costly workers compensation claims.
Via Christi Occupational Health now offers the Physical Capacity Profile Testing System. This is a comprehensive testing procedure, developed by an orthopedic physician, documents the test subject's physical skills and AMA related impairments comparing performance to a database of more than 28,000 tests.
Many companies require a post-hire physical, but the typical physical does not adequately document musculoskeletal imbalances which could lead to injuries. This test provides quantitative data that assists in the placement process, while meeting all regulatory compliance criteria. By reducing the risk of injury, the number of workers compensation claims and related premiums may also be reduced.
