When your doctor decides you are ready to leave the hospital, a discharge order will be written. You may want to make arrangements with a family member or friend to assist you when it is time for you to go home.
Collect all of your belongings and double-check closets and drawers. If you have items stored in the hospital safe, they can be obtained Monday through Friday from 6 am- 9 pm. Please present your written receipt at the switchboard.
When you are ready to leave, a member of the hospital staff or a volunteer will escort you to the front entrance and help you into your car.
