Information about patient billing at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg
At the time of admission to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, we will ask for your insurance card. The information on your card will be used to file a claim on your behalf to your insurance. Once we receive payment from your insurance, you will receive a statement from the hospital indicating the amount not covered by insurance.
In some cases, and for many reasons, an insurance company will reject or delay paying the bill. If you receive a statement and your insurance did not pay, either your insurance denied payment for the service or did not pay in a timely manor according to Kansas State regulation. If this occurs, contact your insurance immediately to find out why your claim has not been paid. The balance at that time will become your responsibility. However, we will assist you in resolving any problems you may have with your insurance company. Financial assistance applications are available online.
