Pain is a physically taxing and emotionally draining experience. For patients who need to control chronic pain, the Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan pain management center can help. We provide a positive, supportive atmosphere and offer a variety of treatment options to help you get the relief you need.

We provide comprehensive pain management through a team-centered approach, with a staff of registered nurses, a physician assistant and an anesthesiologist who specializes in pain management. We work with you from evaluation to treatment, giving professionally administered:

  • Lifestyle recommendations
  • Pharmacological treatments
  • Alternative methods of pain relief

The following is a non-inclusive list of services provided at Via Christi's Pain Management Clinic:

  • Vertebroplasty
  • Discography
  • Dorsal column stimulator trials and permanent implantations
  • Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
  • Epidural adhesiolysis (for lumbar post-laminectomy syndrome or failed back surgery syndrome)
  • Facet injections/medial branch blocks
  • Radiofrequency ablation for facet joint/medial branch nerves
  • Sympathetic blocks (stellate, celiac, lumbar sympathetic, ganglion impar, superior hypogastric plexus)
  • Sympathetic ganglion radiofrequency ablation or alcohol neurolysis
  • Peripheral nerve blocks
  • Peripheral nerve RFAs
  • Knee, hip and shoulder intraarticular injections
  • Major/minor bursa injections
  • Trigger point Injections
  • Head/neck blocks (sphenopalatine ganglion, trigeminal nerve, occipital nerve)
  • Intercostal nerve blocks/RFA
  • Viscosupplementation (synvisc/orthovisc/euflexxa) for the knee
