Why I chose a career in medicine: The main reason I chose to become a physician was my interest in human physiology and pathology. I love to help people and make a positive difference.

Why I chose this specialty: I have a great interest in lung disease with a special focus on smoking-related diseases. I really enjoy the intensity of the work and how the most appropriate, quick, critical-thinking decision can dramatically improve a patient's outcome.

Latest accomplishment: I was given an award for "Physician of the Year" from Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Most rewarding thing about being a doctor: Making a positive difference in patients' lives.
