Hometown: Meade, Kansas, but I was mostly raised in Elkhart, Kansas.
Hobbies and interests: Good food and wine, time with my family, running and watching Jayhawk sports.
Greatest single accomplishment: Graduating from medical school. Being a doctor has led to so many other wonderful things in my life.
Most rewarding thing about being a doctor: My biggest reward is the feeling that I get when I have helped a patient. It sounds like a cliche, but nothing compares to the feeling of gratitude and appreciation we often get from being able to help a patient in need.
Best advice for new patients: Stop eating when you're no longer hungry, not when you're full.
