Why I chose this specialty: During medical school, I worked at a child psychiatry clinic once a week. That experience became the highlight of my year.  I was able to interview and generate treatment plans for children in the clinic. As a young father, I really enjoyed interacting with families and it made me rethink my plan to pursue pediatric surgery.

Hobbies and interests: Percussion, writing music

Not too many people know that: I was born in Germany

Alternate career choice: Motivational speaker or musician

Just once I would like to: Play a live show in front of a massive crowd.

I just can't resist: Playing with my kids

What I am most proud of: My family

Best piece of advice for patients: Give each other the benefit of the doubt

What I like most about Wichita: THE PEOPLE! Wichita is such a lovely, family-friend place to live. In our short time here, we have been overwhelmed with how gracious Wichitans have been to us.
