- Adolescent and adult medicine
American Academy of Family Physicians
Hometown: St. Louis, Missouri.
Why I chose medicine: I was going to be a veterinarian, but decided I wanted my patients to be able to talk!
Why I chose family medicine: I liked the continuity of care and being able to know the whole family story rather than only one section.
Most rewarding thing about being a doctor: Developing relationships with patients and the trust they are willing to give you.
Best piece of advice for patients: Try to keep a balance in your life.
Hobbies and interests: I like to read, play the piano and participate in my kids' activities.
Volunteer activities: I volunteer at the Lord's Diner and with Meals on Wheels. I also participate in activities at my church.
