Hometown: Overland Park, Kansas.
Volunteer activities: Have served on HOA board for 10 years; "team physician" for multiple youth soccer teams.
First job: Garden center stock and sales.
Why I chose a career in medicine: To have the sacred opportunity to engage people in some of their most joyous and challenging moments of life and to be intellectually, emotionally and spiritually challenged.
Hobbies: I enjoy watching my children be challenged through sports and enjoy the small amount of free time my wife and I share together.
Still on my bucket list: A trip to England to watch a Liverpool Futbol match.
What I like most about Wichita: The people and four seasons.
Not too many people know that: I once applied to be an air traffic controller.
Alternate career choice: A restaurant owner.
I just can't resist: Cheesecake.
Most rewarding thing about being a doctor: Reaching people by partnering with them to help them find solutions to their physical and emotional challenges.
One word that describes me: Since I make my wife laugh often, I'll go with "funny." My kids have not yet learned to appreciate my humor.
