Via Christi Immediate Care’s west Wichita location will be moving to newly renovated space at Via Christi Clinic at 21st and Reflection Ridge next week – well ahead of a move of the multispecialty clinic’s other practices later this year.
To facilitate the move, Via Christi Immediate Care will be closed one day only on Wednesday, May 9, and reopen at 8444 W. 21st St. N. at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10.
Moving from a leased location to space within an already established family medicine clinic allows Via Christi to make better use of its own facilities and resources and better serve patients, says Kevin Strecker, Via Christi Clinic’s senior administrator.
“It’s a highly visible location and still easily accessible to the thousands of patients we serve in west Wichita and the surrounding communities,” Strecker said, adding that it will be particularly convenient for patients of the popular family medicine practice staffed by family medicine specialists Teri Nickel, DO; Andrea McCarty, DO; Heidi Larison, DO; and their team.
Via Christi Immediate Care will continue to have onsite X-ray and laboratory and be open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering walk-in care for conditions including coughs and colds; ear, eye and sinus infections; sprains, strains and splinting of fractures; minor cuts and burns; headaches; fever, vomiting and flu. It also offers advance on-line check-in through viachristi.org/immediatecare.
All other practices at the 13213 W. 21st location, which include a wide range of primary and specialty care, will move to the medical office building connected to Via Christi Hospital St. Teresa once remodeling of their space is completed later this year.
