How does BOTOX work? Understanding injectables and fillers

Dr Mitchell Flurry

Injectables, such as BOTOX®, and fillers are a popular way of dealing with fine lines and wrinkles.

The most common uses of BOTOX are to treat the “number 11” lines between the eyebrows, “bunny” wrinkles at the top of the nose, and the wrinkles that appear on the forehead. It can also be used to treat crow’s feet around the eyes and the upper lip.

The decision of how many units of BOTOX will be needed depends on how many locations you have with wrinkle lines.

Breast augmentation: A straightforward procedure

Breast augmentation is a straightforward procedure that enhances the size and shape of the breasts, says Mitchell Flurry, M.D.

Breast augmentation is a procedure for women who seek to change the current size, shape or look of their breasts. Women may be interested in this procedure for a variety of reasons such as: breast hypoplasia (small breasts), deflated breast after weight loss or breast-feeding, or breast asymmetry. I often hear that women want to better “fill out” their clothing, “get their body back” after having children, or just feel more confident. Whatever the reason for wanting a breast augmentation, we can help you choose the most appropriate implant base on your individual goals and needs.

Who could benefit from breast reduction?

Breast reduction

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure available for women who have a condition called macromastia, or “large breasts.” Most women who need a breast reduction have large ptotic (droopy) breasts and experience significant back and neck pain, shoulder grooves from bra straps digging into their skin, difficulty with exercise and rashes under the breasts.
