Go Green environmental initiative at Via Christi

As part of its Catholic Mission, Via Christi strives to be a good steward of God's creation. As Pope Francis wrote, "The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development."

Via Christi and its associates are making the commitment to find ways, both individually and collectively, to protect the environment in our daily lives. We are looking to the future as an opportunity to better protect our common home, serve the communities entrusted to our care and include the impact on the environment as we make decisions.

For Via Christi associates

This site is a resource for Via Christi associates as they join in caring for God's creation. You can:

  • Take the Go Green Pledge
  • Share ideas on how to become a better steward at home or at work
  • Ask Green Team members a question

What are Via Christi Green Teams?

Green Teams work to inspire all associates to act as stewards of God's creation and to inspire Via Christi to operate at full potential by identifying and implementing practical solutions to minimize the organization's impact on the natural environment and the communities we serve. Green Teams exist in Manhattan, Pittsburg and Wichita.
